Little Brother

As some  of you may know my little brother Sean Lisonbee was in a terrible hit and run accident on Tuesday May 12, 2015. He was riding his motorcycle south bound on Harrison when he was hit by a older model powder blue mini van with permanent handicap licence plates. His bike was hit and he was flipped up onto the hood of the van then rolled off and dragged underneath the van for over 300 ft. He was rushed into emergency surgery where they removed his spleen and patched him up the best they could. He was on a respirator that they where able to remove Wednesday afternoon. Sean's more life threatening injuries are now under control and we have a better idea of the extent of his injuries. Shattered spleen (removed), liver lacerations,  punctured lung, both kidneys lacerated, broken collarbone, three broken ribs, wrist fracture, pulmonary bruising, deep arm laceration, forehead laceration, and multiple abrasions. Hopefully today they will be moving him out of the ICU and have him move around so the doctors can see if any more injuries present themselves.

Sean is doing really well he is a fighter but he still has a long road ahead of him there has been a
GO-FUND-ME account set up to help cover the cost of his medical bills and his road to recovery anything will help. Thank you for all the love and support it means more to my family then we could every express!

Sean is has the biggest heart he would give someone the shirt off his back, I have a hard time understanding how someone could just hit him an drive away. We are asking f you have any information on the vehicle or the person driving please report it to the Ogden City Police 801-629-8221

To the driver I just want you to know everyone makes mistakes but when we do we need to own up to  them. Sean is going to make it but he has a long road ahead of him so please do the right thing.

We love you Sean you are one of the most creative and loving person I am proud of the man you are becoming .  Thanks for being there to keep us honest and true to ourselves. Love you kid stay strong!

Disneyland "Swag Bag"

We are Disney Bound in 50 days so to get everyone as excited as I am I decided to take an fun idea of making your kids Disney baskets and change it making a "swag bag" for adults that are still kids at heart!

This is the finished "SWAG BAG" (now lets break it down and see whats inside)

When ever I am putting together any kind of gift bag I like to lay everything
out to make sure I have everything and that each bag
gets everything inside!

I could not get over how cute these bags are! I was looking online
forever for some inexpensive tote bags and I had pretty much given up!
If you look for anything Disney you should
expect a higher price tag! Lucky me I was scoping out
Targets dollar spot and they had these adorable totes!

I had so shirts custom made at Customized Girl
each shirt cost about $17! They were easy to design and
they were delivered in under two weeks!
(Don't forget to look for a promo code I found one
that got me 10% off)

I love the dollar store! I found some great fun Disney coloring books
and a pack of crayons at a dollar a piece they add some fun and who doesn't
like coloring while trying to pass the time of a 10 hour road trip!

Who can count down to Disney without a count down chain
I had lots of random fun colored paper left over from other
project so this adds a fun FREE item to the "swag bag"

Remember how I said I love the dollar store here are so more
more reasons why! Surprisingly they had a lot of fun things to add
at a low cost and nobody else needs to know you didn't break your budget!

I found these awesome Disney lanyards on Amazon for just over
$3.50 a piece they even came with a coin purse to keep your
tickets and money!

What's a road trip with out snacks so I asked everyone
what there favorite road trip treat was and added
that in too!

I am not the craftiest person in the world but I sure enjoy
it when I get a good idea! Behind this Mickey Mouse
decor is actually just a pack of gum!

I wanted to personalize it a little more for each girl so
I asked what there favorite Disney character was
and order nail decals form Bubbling Space on Etsy!
The price ranged from $1.99 to $2.99
Now they have a whole nail kit to do fun Disney themed
nails for the trip!

As far as packing it all up and and making it look cute all it really
takes is some ribbon and treat bags (also from the dollar store)
to pack it all in and
make it look like you have a sweet "Swag Bag"

These where so much fun to put together and everyone loved
getting them! So if your looking for some fun ways to get
excited about your trip you might want to try this out!!

Mickey Mouse Gum Pack Craft!!

This was so fun and easy!! Here is a step-by-step in pictures!!!

The Happiest Place on Earth

I have only been to Disneyland once in my life it was for a family vacation when I was 13 but that is all it took, I feel in love. The rides, the excitement, the food, the memories it all add up to being the happiest place on earth.  I have been aching to go back but it never seemed to quite work so when the idea popped into my mind again after one of my endless Disney marathons I knew I had to see if this time I could make it work. So a few Sundays ago I sent out a mass text to my sisters and friends to see who was game for an All Girls Disneyland Trip.

For those who know me know when I plan a trip I take it seriously, so seriously I probably could do it professionally. So with in a matter of a couple hours a 5 day California Disneyland Adventure was planned down to the last detail. Oh and with 67 days in the countdown I can't wait to go!

I love planning trips and when I do I go the extra mile, I make power points, packets and any other extra thing that can help build up the anticipation for everyone going. I am currently putting together a Disney Trip Bag for all the girls who are going! When it is all complete I will post more about it :)

This time I decided to get help and make the planning a little more simple and focus more on the fun parts by using Get Away Today. It was so easy to book my trip and it was the best deal I could find. They even sent me a vacation packet along with my tickets!

So with tickets in hand we are currently looking for tips and tricks to make this a good Disney experience. So if you know of any must dos, or must haves I would love any and all suggestions keeping in mind everyone going is 19 and older. I am also a food lover so if anyone knows the best things to eat I am making a list! Thanks to Pinterest and the internet I am finding lots of good stuff but I am also having a hard time sorting through all the fluff!

SO LET THE COUNTDOWN BEGIN

Graduation

It's that time of year again students are cracking down  on homework and are hitting the books even harder to prep for finals. I currently am not in school but this is Bryce's last semester before he graduates with his Bachelors degree in Computer Science so I feel the pain second hand and that's bad enough. I am so proud of him he has worked so hard it takes a dedicated person to pick on field and spend 4 years preparing to work in that field the rest of your life.

All of  this got me thinking about school, graduating, and careers and to be honest it is all overwhelming. I think there are 3 kinds of people in the world, the ones who have always known what they want to be when  they grow up, the ones who have figured it out by now, and than ones like me who have no clue... I mean I did what I supposed to and went to college right after I graduated from high school and got an associates in gen. ed. even got my pharmacy tech licence. The hard part comes after the gen. ed. stuff.

I have ideas of what I want to be or I thought I did at first it was business, then art, then graphic design, then marketing, then pharmacy, then teaching. Obviously I was putting a lot of money into school and getting no where near graduating so I decided to take a break until I figured it out. It's a big question WHAT DO YOU WANT TO BE WHEN YOU GROW UP? Then I realized that's a hard question because it's not the right question, the right question is WHAT CAN YOU DO EVERY DAY THAT WILL MAKE YOU HAPPY?

There are millions of career choices and honestly I have no clue where to even start to look into different options. I decided I should talk to an academics adviser I got to the meeting and they told me I am in the wrong spot they are there to help me figure out what classes to take after I know what I want to do. Well great now what, then I found out about career services they had me take some personality tests and career placement tests. I am currently on my way to figuring out what path is best for me,

I now have a list of about 300 careers that I could potentially be happy doing I need to narrow down to like 4 or 5 I have lots of work cut out for me. I am actually really looking forward to researching different careers and seeing where I fit. I highly suggest if you don't know what to do see if you can go to a place like career services maybe they can help you start to figure out the answer to the big question too,

I know at 24 I might be a little late to the party but I have had adventures that I wouldn't change for anything. I am looking forward to a summer full of goofing off, traveling, camping, hiking, and living out the long days with good friends and family.  I am planning on starting school back up in the fall and who knows what I will end up studying but all I know is I want to do something that when I wake up in the morning I will look forward to going to work. To all those graduating weather it be from college, high school, or anything else good luck and enjoy it make sure you are doing something that makes you happy.

So here is to graduation I guess in some ways I am having my own graduation. I am excited to see what I decided but until then I am enjoying the ride.

Grandma Kathy

This past week has been one of the hardest weeks of my life. On Thursday March 19, 2015 my Grandma Kathy joined the angels in heaven and I was heart broken. The next few nights I cried myself to sleep and felt like the next few days where spent in a daze. I think I have cried all the tears that I can cry and we celebrate her life Wednesday  March 25,2015.

I want to dedicate this post to my grandma she is one of the most amazing, kind, genuine people I know. I had the opportunity to speak at here services, I got focus on her life and her memories it was one of the best ways to cope and get closure.

Life is now starting to get back to normal it's still hard but I know she is happier and healthier. This lady has blessed my life more than I could ever explain she is my biggest fan and cheerleader she was always there. I wish she could be here to pick out my wedding dress one day and see me walk down the aisle. I  wish I could of had one last sleep over in our fluffy pink robes. It one of those things where every step in my life I will wish  she was here. I know she is my angel and she will be there in spirit.  I love you!

                                Grandma’s gone to heaven.

One quite day the angels came
And took my grandma far away
But in the stillness of the night
I could almost her say

Dear grandchild I will miss you
You mean so much to me
But Jesus called me to his side
In heaven I will be

A place of God’s great beauty
No tears or earthly cares
Only peace and joy forever
And love beyond compare

So remember all the good times
Don’t think about the sad
Treasure all the special moments
Through the years we've had

And if you trust in Jesus
I can promise this and more
You will get a hug from grandma

Someday at heaven’s door

Happy Birthday Sara

Well today my little sister turns 20, yep that's right she is officially no longer a teenager. This is weird but I guess I have to accept that she is no longer the little girl who I shared my room with. She is the second youngest of the seven kids in my family but the first to get married. This past year has been an adventure for her and I know that this year is going to be even more exciting.

So Sara and I ,especially this past year, like to fight and yell at each other not because we are mad but because we love each other too much and think that it is our job to make the others persons life how we think it should be, me more so than her. What others don't understand is that that is how we have always been this last year was just hard cause my little sister was getting married and I don't think I was ready for it, I know I am still not used to it but it's growing on me and I am glad to add another member to our big family.  The reason I went into all that is because I am sorry for the fights that we had this year mostly because we let other people get into the middle of it and make it worse. I am glad things are back to normal and we can live our lives as bickering sisters.

So this is to my Sara Bear, go ahead read it, warning it is going to be sappy!
(Sara you might want to grab some tissues cause I know this will make you tear up)

Princess,

Wow I can't believe you are 20. I am so proud of the women you are becoming. I see the hard work you are doing to prove everyone wrong, even me, that you aren't too young to be married. I say way to go prove me wrong. I am so glad you are going to school you have always been so smart and I know you have all the potential in the world to be an amazing whatever you decide to  be when you grow up. You are a beautiful women inside and out who makes huge differences in the peoples lives you are in, I love you to pieces and hope you have an amazing day! See you at Family dinner tonight!

Love Always,
Alissa
